Organic Foods

Organically grown food is, in general, food that is produced without the use of artificial pesticides, synthetic fertilizers and genetically modified organisms, or GMOs. The majority of farms that produce organically grown fruits and vegetables are usually family owned and operated in contrast to the large industrial farms that produce fruits and vegetables that are less than healthy for you.

Organic foods, like gluten-free foods, are quickly becoming more widely available these days. Each year, more and more super markets, which sell lots of Coke and Pepsi as a rule, have been offering more and more organically-grown food every year in the past ten to fiftteen years. According to Wikipedia, "Organic food sales within the US have enjoyed 17 to 20 percent growth for the past few years while sales of conventional food - while still larger in size - have grown at only about 2 to 3 percent a year. This large growth is predicted to continue, and many companies are jumping into the market."
